Life is unpredictable and often times the only constant we have is ourselves. Through therapy, I hope to provide you with an expansive toolbox so you can be best prepared for whatever comes your way.

Carly holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work and is a NYS LMSW. During her graduate training, Carly provided individual and group therapy in a private practice setting utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Upon completing the intensive certification process through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, Carly became a certified cognitive therapist and Diplomate.

She also worked in a clinic that specialized in the treatment of women with substance abuse issues who have experienced intense traumas in their past. Carly implemented multiple evidence-based modalities including CBT throughout her time there.

Carly has completed training in Trial Based Cognitive Therapy (TBCT), training through the Gottman Institute, the Beck Institute, trainings in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and many trauma-informed trainings.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Carly worked at Success Academy Charter Schools focusing on employee relations and retention for school-based staff, specifically teachers. Carly remains passionate about education and is eager to encourage educator’s to seek the mental health help they may need in order to do their important jobs of educating our future leaders. Carly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Community and Nonprofit Leadership where she learned the importance communities have on individuals and families.

Carly emphasizes an authentic and comfortable therapeutic relationship with clients.

She focuses on creating a safe place to help create a more peaceful environment for clients. She knows that feeling safe and comfortable in session is a key factor in its success and wants all of her clients to achieve their goals.
