Change is often as difficult to believe in as it is necessary.
The gap between recognizing the need for change and trusting that it is achievable can lead to repeated patterns or even complete avoidance.
In such moments, having someone to walk the path with you can make all the difference.

In a safe and relaxed environment, I aim to create a space where you can comfortably explore the areas of your life you wish to improve. Together, we will identify recurring struggles, understand their roots and context, and develop practical tools to practice, refine, and ultimately master.

I am interested in learning about the positive areas in your life just as much as the challenging ones. It is by tapping into what is working well for us, acknowledging what we are currently proud of and understanding what gives us a sense of meaning that informs much of what we can do to bring balance to the harder parts.

I partner with individuals, couples, parents, and families to discover approaches best-suited to their unique needs. Therapy sessions are available in both English and Hebrew.

About Yael

As a therapist, Yael takes a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach to help individuals navigate life’s challenges. She believes that meaningful change begins with a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, where clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

Yael integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to empower clients to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional resilience, and develop actionable steps toward their goals. She supports clients in exploring the underlying roots of their experiences to process and reframe them, fostering personal growth and adaptability.

Yael also values psychoeducation as a key component of her work, providing clients with the tools and knowledge to better understand their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. She tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs, incorporating elements of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and practical strategies to support holistic well-being.

Her work is rooted in the belief that change is not only possible but sustainable when clients are equipped with the right tools, insights, and support to take meaningful steps forward.

Training & Clinical Experience

Yael holds a Master of Science in Social Work degree from Columbia University, where she studied and applied Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. As part of her advanced standing program, Yael completed internships supporting high school students from underserved populations and working with children and families at Astor Services for Children & Families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Haifa in Israel, with a focus on depression and personality disorders in young adults.

Before transitioning to her role as a therapist, Yael worked as a Parenting Counselor, guiding families through various stages of parenthood, including the birth of a first child, welcoming a sibling, navigating shifts in family dynamics, improving emotional regulation and understanding their children’s developmental needs through psychoeducation. She relied heavily on evidence-based methods such as CBT to help parents reframe challenges and build healthier connections within their families.

In addition to her clinical experience, Yael is a Fitness Trainer with a focus on cultivating a healthy mindset as the foundation for physical and emotional well-being. She has worked with youth, adults, and groups to strengthen self-confidence, promote somatic awareness, and foster a holistic approach to health that nurtures both the body and the mind.
